  • The Resistance spreads out
    and asks for arms

In november 1942, Drome as well as the rest of the so called unoccupied France, is occupied.

Inhabitants of Drome try to join underground movements. But to fight one needs arms.

Maquis de la Lance in Drome some soldiers of the armistice Army, had had the opportunity to hide arms and ammunition. Actions of the French Resistance this was one of the first sources. Small scattered groups, not yet organized, without structure, had to be equipped.

Dropped arms since 1943, meanwhile difficulties on Eastern Europe and North Africa fronts end up to undermine the Germans' pride, the french Resistance becomes representative thanks to Jean Moulin who sets up the Conseil National de la Résistance (CNR- National Resistance Council) becoming later the Forces Françaises de l'Intérieur (FFI) (French Interior Forces).

The request for arms becomes insistent.
